Manyoni enjoys a subtropical climate, with each season offering a different safari atmosphere.
Green Season | November – March
Summer brings warm days averaging between 25°C and 32°C, with afternoon thunderstorms contributing to approximately 600–700mm of annual rainfall.
During this period, the reserve becomes lush and vibrant. Vegetation thickens, birdlife flourishes, and newborn animals begin to appear. The landscape is dramatic and photographic, with expansive skies and rich tones.
Wildlife remains abundant, though slightly more concealed within thicker foliage.
Dry Season | May – August
Winter mornings are crisp, ranging between 5°C and 10°C, before warming to comfortable daytime temperatures of 20°C to 25°C. Rainfall is minimal.
As vegetation thins and natural water sources become focal points, wildlife visibility increases significantly. Animals congregate around remaining water, creating exceptional viewing conditions.
This is considered prime safari season — classic African bush, clear skies, and consistent sightings.
